A Carribean Feast Weekend


Decided it was about high time to get away from the overheating city... we headed for where else, the middle of the dessert!

Perhaps not the smartest of decisions, but with the super high powered AC, a pool ready & waiting to be lounged in, and an array of adorable flotation devices we were ready to brave the 100+ weather.  And what food would most perfectly compliment our little dessert oasis?  A Caribbean feast of course!

Breakfast
It's sadly become sort of a staple of these dessert trips... Bacon Cinnamon Rolls.  Doesn't quite fit the theme, but you can't argue with tradition.

Lunch
Jerk Grilled Shrimp & Bacon Wrapped Chicken Skewers over a bed of saffron yellow rice & jicama salad with a Grilled Avocado boat.

Dinner
Spicy rubbed Skirt Steak with a fresh Chimichurri sauce, yellow rice & beans, chili & lime corn on the cob & a lovely fruit salad.
